Who We Are & Why We Started
Reproductive Village Cryobank (RVC) is a different kind of fertility organization—one built by and for communities often overlooked by traditional healthcare. We started because our founder, like so many others, struggled to find a diverse and welcoming path to parenthood. At RVC, we provide safe, high-quality donor options alongside emotional support, counseling, and community care because we believe every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated on their journey.
The Problem We’re Solving
Right now, there’s a serious shortage of diverse sperm donors in the U.S.—especially Black donors, who make up less than 3% of available options. This creates real delays and added stress for hopeful parents, and it reflects a system that hasn’t kept up with the needs of today’s families. With more single parents, same-sex couples, and people of color turning to fertility care than ever before, we need a more inclusive, compassionate approach. RVC is here to provide it.
How We’re Making a Difference
We’re not just a sperm bank—we’re a partner in your journey. From personalized guidance to our unique culture-matching process, we focus on the whole person, not just the medical steps. We’re also working to change outdated practices in the fertility industry that unfairly exclude many potential donors. At RVC, we’re committed to building a future where everyone can pursue parenthood with dignity, confidence, and care.

Angela Stepancic
Angela B. Stepancic is a visionary leader whose career has been shaped by a commitment to equity, education, and community. Originally from Chicago, she moved to Washington, D.C. in 2000, where she earned degrees from Georgetown University and George Washington University, grounding her work in both intellectual rigor and practical strategy.
Following a transformative twelve-year tenure as a principal, where she led both a middle school and an alternative high school, Angela founded her own consulting firm. There, she guided leaders in building more inclusive organizational cultures and effective strategic frameworks, preparing her for a mission that would strike at the heart of her own life.
In 2019, while embarking on a fertility journey with her wife, Angela encountered firsthand the systemic barriers facing Black, Brown, and queer families. Confronted by a critical lack of diverse donor options and culturally competent care, she was inspired to build the solution herself.
This personal experience catalyzed the founding of Reproductive Village Cryobank (RVC). Under Angela’s leadership, RVC is not merely a cryobank—it is a movement dedicated to reshaping reproductive healthcare. The organization provides safe, FDA-compliant services alongside a diverse and ethically-sourced donor pool, while also offering holistic wellness support, counseling, and community advocacy. Angela’s vision ensures that every family, regardless of background, can pursue their path to parenthood with dignity, representation, and unwavering support.
Angela’s unique journey—from educator, to strategist, to advocate and entrepreneur—fuels her relentless drive to create a more just and inclusive future in fertility care.
